About me
Welcome to my page, my name is Lee Mariault and I am a postdoctoral research at IRD (Research Institute for Development) in Montpellier, France. My current researcher focuses on the impact of malaria in pregnancy on the fetal immune system, specifically investigating how placental infection reshapes the transcriptional landscape of cord blood monocytes. I conducted my PhD at the Laboratory of Genome and Development of Plants (LGDP) located in Perpignan (France) and my research involved studying horizontal transfers events within thousands of plant and fungi genomes through a massive comparative phylogenomics approach. In addition to my expertise in comparative genomics, I also acquired experience in analyzing single-cell transcriptomics in leukemia (T-ALL) as well as structural variants analyses during prior work experiences.
