Welcome to my page! My name is Lee Mariault and I am a postdoctoral researcher at the IRD (Research Institute for Development) in Montpellier, France. My current research focuses on the impact of malaria in pregnancy on the fetal immune system, specifically investigating how placental infection reshapes the transcriptional landscape of cord blood monocytes.

I conducted my PhD at the Laboratory of Genome and Development of Plants (LGDP) in Perpignan, France, where I studied horizontal transfer events within thousands of plant and fungal genomes through a massive comparative phylogenomics approach.

In addition to my expertise in comparative genomics, I also gained experience in analyzing single-cell transcriptomics in leukemia (T-ALL) as well as structural variants during prior work experiences.
